I have the same engine and injector setup you do. I also have the long engine
mount. You're right that exact firewall penetration is not critical. Main
drivers are what have you got in the way on front and aft sides of the firewall
such as the mount, fuel lines, etc. I brought my throttle cable through low on
the pilot's side near the tunnel wall. The mixture was similar but on the
copilot's side. The Prop exits underneath the header tank and as far over
towards the fuselage as possible. Reason for the prop control positioning is
that you would like as large a bend radius as possible to reduce friction. The
prop cable will then arc towards the left to attach to the governor. The hole
for the prop control did not end up perpendicular to the firewall, it was angled
(dremel) in order to allow the cable to take a natural curvature. Once set, I
sealed with silicone. When you install the injector unit, you may have to
monkey with the fuel inlet and outlet ports (there are several to chose from).
