One which I will use is an O290 D which was an aircraft engine and is in excellent condition. The other one is an O290 G which was a ground power unit. My problem is this. The crankshaft for the O290 D is creacked in 3 places and not useable. The shaft for the O290 G is in pristine condition but it has a thinner flange than the D model. The rod throws also seem to be thinner due to the center borings. I have found a doubler for the flange. Can I use this crankshaft? Any suggestions or comments appreciated.
