If there is a nut on the shaft recess the spacer so the load does not go through the nut. make it out of aluminum, not something that could be affected by fluid. Mine needed to be shortened a small amount, maybe 3/16 inch, from memory. I was able to cut down the rod end and still have enough threads for a secure attachment. Run a threaded bolt in the rod end to measure how much depth is available and then check the math to see if it will work. 3. Take apart the cylinder and insert an internal stop on the shaft inside the cylinder. Making new brackets is probably the simplest solution but is #3 a reasonable alternative? Thanks for your help.
