Here is what has worked well in my aircraft.
Xpdr-- AEA non ground plane antenna in vertical tail
Com 1-- COMANT whip on belly
Com 2 AEA non ground plane mounted vertical in vertical tail
Nav 1/ GS (work on splitter) -- Bob Archer in Left
fiberglass wingtip-- (will not work in carbon wingtip)
GPS 1 & 2 -- on top of radio stack under glareshield
Mrkr Bcn copper strip antenna in fiberglass wing root fairing
NAV antennas will not work well mounted vertically
As you can see-- I have only one visible antenna.
