 The defroster is as direct outlet from the heat source as I think there
 is.  I can put my hand on the glare shield and it is comfortable.  Not
 hot.  I am sure the heat would not be so high as to cause a problem with
 the prepreg and bids.  If you were concerned you could always line the
 inside with firewall blanket, zetex? or something else to protect the
 composites.  Possibly even .020 aluminum with standoffs.  I think the
 box is a great idea.
