They seem to work great and the install is as easy as I have seen for any electronic ignition. The only glitch I've had is a slight hesitation in the engine which the company has been working and provided some fixes, but they are working to eliminate this mode all together. This hesitation does get your attention when it first happens, but it has been reduced signficatnly with a recent firmware changes and I believe they will eventually solve this problem completely. This does not happen on all E-MAGs or even the majority. From what I understand, there are only a few aircreaft where this has been a problem. Like I say the setup, install and adjustment is quick and easy with no external units/boxes needed. Just power and ground lines is it. All self contained and they have the adapter and ignition wires to allow use of auto spark plugs. Much cheaper and work great. I have about 40 hours on mine now. The P-MAG is self powered therefore eliminating the need for an extra battery. I've reduced the throttle to as low as 900 RPM with only the P-MAG on line with no power to the unit and it runs fine. Below this RPM and the ignition will fail, but I believe this plenty adequate. Denis N102M "I have read several accounts of people using the LSE electronic ignition. Any further updates on how it is going? Has anyone installed or know anything about E-mags? Looks like a compact design. Thanks in advance for any updates. Scott" CDR Michael S.
