| | | Chris, did my first flight and 40 hours out of Camarillo back in '93 and at that time, there were several Lancairs on field - building and flying.
Haven't talked to those guys for a long time but you might try Ray Modert
who at the time, had one of the prettiest early 320's flying.

I don't have Ray's home no. but he owns a local company - Transmission Parts
of Oxnard - company phone no. 805-983-1145. I just rang the number and got
Ray's business answering machine so I guess he's still there but doesn't
work late on Saturdays. He has (had) a hangar on the field when I was there
and can give you the straight info about the airport. Nice guy, too.

If it's still there, the on-airport restaurant is pretty good. Before I left
So. Cal. it was the standard fly-in place for breakfast or lunch. No idea if
they still do it but on certain days they had their special Tri-Tip sandwich
with the Tri-tips being barbeque'd outside next to the patio. Really good
 stuff!

 Regards,

 Dan Schaefer
