I am having a problem with this whole subject. In my opinion, LML is not an appropriate vehicle to bail you out of your Experimental Homebuilt Classification issue with the FAA. All the threats you and Carl perceive to Experimental Builders seem designed to enlist our aid with your problem from the beginning. Sorry, that's just the way I see it. When an approved "Amateur Experimental Homebuilt" with 6 or 7 aboard goes in....the media will be ON "Experimental" aircraft demanding the Feds "do something". THAT would probably end up restricting Experimental Aircraft. That WILL affect all of us and it will be too late to dial our Congressman. If the FAA draws the line at 5 seats, I can go along with that. Should the limit be 10 seats? 15? 50? Realistically, the market for most 6 seat plus aircraft is not personal use. The Epic is a beautiful airplane with some great numbers, it should be successful as a Certified Aircraft. I really wish you and Carl the best on your investment. It just does not pass my Common Sense test as a "Amateur Experimental Homebuilt". Steve Colwell 22 year EAA Member
