Leon and Everyone,
What I was able to determine is these tires meet certain weight, speed, and
temperature requirements only at a certain inflation. I was happy to find
the 4% fudge factor for loaded tires, I've always wondered about that.
If you feel you want more pressure in your tires than the chart shows, you
should upgrade to more plies.
The Goodyear literature says to figure the weight on the mains by
calculating at the rear CG at max gross weight, most forward CG for the nose
wheel.
The mains are rated at 1,750 and the nose wheel at 1,285 so I don't think
we need to upgrade to the 8 ply tires.
The Goodyear literature also says you can't judge tire pressures by looking
at the tire!
So it sounds like 44 for the mains and 52 for the nose wheel would be
according to the book.
