More pics with this post of the weekend fly-in in Redmond.

The race on Sunday was great as usual.  With the different race course
this year from last year, we were able to avoid most populated areas and
areas where non-aviation friendly types have sounded off in previous
years.  Actually, if I recall (I have been to all 14 of the Lancair
Fly-Ins) this years race course has been used in other past years.

This years course had 4 legs with 3 turn points and utilized a minimum
altitude of 4700' msl.  It was scenic in everyway as it crossed high
desert, agricultural land, low mountains, as well as lake Billy
Chinook.  On the 2nd leg, the flyers got a close up view of 6000'
Grizzly Mountain off our right wing.

12 Lancairs participated in the race including 2-IV's, 2-Legacy's,
4-360's, 2-320's, and 2-235's.  The elapsed time difference from
the fastest and lastest plane was only 9 min: 04 sec.

Dan Schaefer in his 235/235 turned on his hidden JATO bottle and came in
faster than 7 other planes including all the 320's and 360's.  He had
the Legacy's and IV's in his sights with only 51 seconds between him and
finisher #4 of those two groups.

More pics to follow.
