Mark October 28-30 on your calendar and Paso Robles, CA on your sectionals. We had a good time at our first clinic and are hoping to improve on it this time around. PRB is a fantastic location with it's relatively low area traffic, nice runways, excellent facilities, and an absolutely wonderful restaurant owned by a 5-Star chef! We'll have a Friday morning ground school (beginning at 9 a.m.) and fly Friday afternoon, all day Saturday, and as long as there is interest on Sunday. I'm gonna need some volunteer help on this one, gang. The following positions are high priority: -Check pilot (Stu McCurdy is unavailable) -Instructor Pilots -Air Boss (handles flight scheduling, air space operations, safety briefings, etc.) -Ground Boss (handles evening activity coordination and daily excursions for non-participating GIBs....PRB is a great place to bring a non-flying spouse) Please contact me directly if you can commit to a volunteer position. The event fee will be $125...we tried $100 last time and we're left a bit skinny once all the expenses were paid . This fee includes ground school, all your instruction for 3 days, drinks and snacks on the flight line, and a very cool Don Barnes designed T-shirt. Weather should still be very nice that time of year. Please respond ASAP so we can get a good gauge on demand for logistical purposes. Please include the following: Name: Last, First Aircraft type: N#: Formation experience: none, some, Wing, Lead, Check Formation currency: T-shirt size: S-XL Attending Ground School: Y/N I am currently researching hotels and will post more information her and on our web site at www.westcoastformation.com as it becomes available. Until next time, keep your paint to yourself! Cheers, Barry West Coast Formation Clinics
