Just a word on flying the Legacy on approach to final and landing?  It seems  to me the guys that ACTUALLY have flown the the Legacy have the
opinion that flying the approach @ 100kts is the way to do it and the pilots who DO NOT FLY THE LEGACY have this mystical notion that they can fly
the Legacy at 70kts and stop without using the brakes.  On the brakes, what difference does it make if you change the pads(they only cost $35.00 for the pads)
and are one of the best insurance items you can buy!!

One person on the list compared the ES to the Legacy on approach,  Have you ever compared the ES wing with the Legacy's   TWICE AS BIG  with the
same motor.  Does a pilot fly a 152 the same as a Bonanza?   The Legacy does its ground roll at 80kts ( I fly the Legacy usually full fuel and baggage)
and gear up puts you at 100 to 110kts almost  immediately.  You can if you HAVE T land the Legacy in shorter distances but I  prefer a minimum  2500' strip.

Like I said before the Legacy was designed to fly fast and all the pilots that flew the first ones and I talked to them recommended the 100kt approach with a sink
rate of 500'fpm to land!!   Being behind slower aircraft in the Legacy is major problem and requires your complete attention.

One important factor is the qualification of the people we hire to teach us to fly these airplanes.  The following is an example of a Professional Pilot teaching
the buyer of my first Legacy  on the first day of Instructions
