The shimmy is not a problem until you get to
30 kts. Weight could be a very important factor however.

My Mooney training taught us to fly slower when we were below max gross
weight. I should be able to fly my ES at 70 down final with half a tank
of fuel and two people on board. I would think some of the nose strut
problems, shimmy to be specific, might go away if we slow down. If my
early pilot training memory is correct, a 10% reduction in approach speed is a
20% reduction in energy. It's gotta be easier on the gear, brakes,
etc.
