John,

I think if, after flying an airplane, it doesn't meet your expectations, for
whatever reason, you sholud move on to something else.

When I did my demo flight in the Lancair company Legacy RG 2 1/2 years ago I
had a more positive experience than you did. As a matter of fact I was
interested in the Sentry and the IVPT. I decided, as an after thought, that
I just as well fly the Legacy to see what it was like.My comment after the
flight was, "that is the best flying airplane I have ever flown. My previous
experience includes: J-3 Cub, C-140/150/172, T-34, T-33, T-37, T-38, F-100,
F-4, F-105, DC-3,  DC-9, B-727/757/717.

The Legacy is an excellent flying airplane. But, like all aircraft, you have
to stay within a certain flight envelope for it to be enjoyed.

"All in all, I ended up unimpressed with the airplane. I tried to imaging
landing at 85 KIAS, at home at 7650 msl, in the summer (about 120 mph
ground speed). "
