my big wonder is how a builder builds any
  time in our planes to be a good quilified safe pilot PRIOR to us finishing ?
  .....lancair is in oregon ...i am in St Louis ....how does one get some
  Initial training without the plane ? .....Insurance wants 15 hours Before
  Solo .....is this enough in YHO ....i am sure everyone is different ...but
  they has to be some kind of standard ....would be nice to get one of these
  seminars in the Midwest .......just a thought from someone that doesn't want
  to be read about because I couldn't get the training I want ....

Get the factory training when you have finished your airplane... not before. Hire a test pilot to do the first flight and then some more flights.

 

Before then get as much high performance retract time as you can get in a Mooney or Bonanza or another Lancair.
