The final conclusion was that the best cleaner for fuel and exhaust stains, and bugs was Crazy Clean from Sprayway Inc at $3.47 for a spray can, which can be found in Ace Hardware Stores, or by phoning 1-80262-0090. Apparently it beat the hell out of all the specialist cleaners. The quote was, "The overall winner in our opinion is Crazy Clean. A $3.50 15 ounce can of aerosol cleaner isn't an economical way to clean the whole airplane, but the stuff will remove fuel and exhaust stains, bugs, mud, grime and the environmental slime that coats airplane surfaces". The "environmental slime" sounds pretty nasty. Geeeeez, let me try again.... Give Scrubbing Bubbles a chance - If you don't like it, put it to use in your bathroom. It is not a specialty aircraft cleaner. Do not use it for anything other than the belly - it was only meant for scummy bottoms. How easy can it get? Spray it on, watch the scrubbing bubbles rise up, wipe it off. You don't need to wash it down. You don't need to clean up any greasy residue. You don't need to do nuttin mo..... Those of you that use various other concoctions, give this a try, report back with your comparison. It only costs an aerosol can or, for those that think they are saving the environment, the hand squeezed spray bottle (also builds up your forearm). Break outside of the box, go outside the line, give it a try and report back....... it's an experiMENTAL airplane ------------------ experiment... Grayhawk (next I'll be whitehawk) PS for what it is worth - I have tried GUNK, Simple Green, yada, yada, yada....... PPS Anyone tried Crazy Clean? I have looked at this stuff on the web and it sounds like the easily obtainable Scrubbing Bubbles except it may not smell as good! -------------------------------1124492325 Content-Type: text/html; charset="US-ASCII" Content-Transfer-Encoding: quoted-printable
