Hi folks:
I apologize I haven't been keeping up with the lancair chatroom enough, but
in an effort to motivate those who are still building, wanted to pass on the
news that my 4-year Lancair 360 project successfully took off on June 7, 2005,
4pm out of Millington, TN. (Memphis area)
Too many mods to cover in detail here, but in summary: 200hp angled
valve
Lycoming, modified over-size cowl (that Lancair does have the plugs
for),
Whirlwind series-151, 3-blade composite prop, Blue Mt EFIS, modified flat
panel for ergonomic comfort. I designed the paint scheme, but opted to
have it
done professionally. Paint is PPG prizmatique. Many more mods,
etc.
Initial test flight conducted by Orin Riddell (yes he still does test
flights on occasion and worth every penny), with myself onboard as safety
observer.
