racing is equally divided between the racing (not necessarily
winning) and the tweaking of participants - even if their engine is
bigger.
I think further illumination of the trim tab blowout demonstrated that it
shook off on the ground - probably because Speed Demon couldn't get
his hybrid sparkler system to light up all the cylinders at the same time.
