May I ask for some comments on the Grand Rapids EIS? Do you have their EFIS?
Yes I have their EIS and I think that it is great. Chelton thinks so too - they use the GR EIS as their data source. That means that my 3-screen Chelton system will run on a tried-and tested Grand Rapids system. In one small package I have all cylinders EGT and CHT as well as trends. My home page displays MP and RPM, GPH and peak EGT and CHT. Makes leaning the engine easy. Another screen gives fuel burn rate, fuel remaining, and time remaining until exhaustion. The timer function is a valuable tool - I have it go off every 30 min. to remind me to check fuel. Oil pressure and oil temp, OAT, alt and vsi, system voltage are all available and all come with set-able limits. The Grand Rapids EIS is a very cost effective tool. Wish their screen were more readable, but with the Scheyden's it works OK.
