I've chatted with ESCO in Sydney a few months ago and the impression I got (from memory) was if I sent it to them they would do the mod if
I wanted although it may depend on the length of my own strut (oh er, I think you know what I mean).

My 360 has the self centering nose strut already but my friend had a problem
with his 360. He said the nose wheel hit sometimes when retracting and rubbed
on the door. He bought the newer centering strut and it worked great. Lancair
used to retro fit the old strut with the new parts but I think you can only
purchase a new strut to get the self centering. They are about $2000.
