After all, the defendant was a sub contractor of Lycoming, were they not? So the legal presentation against Lycoming would have been from some legitimate technical level I would think, with backup. This wasn't just a case of some part of the engine anatomy failing and John Q Public making accusations. But, tort reform is needed. But this may be a legitimate claim.
