<<I bought some MC a while back and the can that it came in is starting to
show some signs of rust on the exterior. As such, I need to transfer it to
another container, lest it springs a leak and contaminates my shop. Does
anyone have a recommendation? I have a spare one of those red acetone
dispensers that I bought through Lancair. Will this be OK? I assume that
just any old plastic or metal container won't suffice ....>>

Stores will in polyethylene/nylon pails/containers.  You can also put it in the metal acetone dispenser cans.  And it wont 'contaminate' your shop.  Has a boil point of 104F so it will vaporize very quickly.  So you need a tight fitting lid/cap.  If you get a major spill, the vapors will displace breathable air.  Years ago MC was used as an anesthetic.  Still used to decaffeinate coffee.
