My Legacy is 12v, so I had to replace the starter and alternator. The engine was manufactured in 2001, and has 244 hours TTSN. The alternator and starter were in good working order when they were removed from the engine. They can be installed in an experimental aircraft as is. Basically, you are getting a nearly new starter and alternator for just above core value. For reference, the list price for new starter and alternator are $753 and $2863, respectively.
