Gentleman,

This is an enhancement to the kit, it is not an SB.  We are constantly improving the kits.  We have made over 172 changes to the manual since the beginning of last year and over 200 changes to existing parts.

The notification is going out in the Feb E-blast which should be out next week.  You can now purchase either the upgrade parts or an entire mechanism from Kit Components.

The old mechanism works.  John Halle's had lasted for over 400 hours.  Ours is still in 199L with over 700 hours.  We changed the mechanism in the FG to have a continuing test on the enhancement.

This change should basically increase the life of these parts to the life of the airframe.
