I think the quantitative information offered in this forum is really useful.
Having actual data is to me, the most persuasive argument toward more conservatism.
 
Finding out that going from 3200 to 3400 might mean a 5000' runway is useful.
Finding out that at X GW and Y CG your tailplane is useless below Z CAS is useful.
Knowing that in a IVP your CE drops by 50% within (what is it?) 1.5 degrees gives a new meaning to "HOT".
Looking at the energy of impact as a function of stall speed (e.g. the ^2 part of mv^2) is a diet motivator.
 
weight = bad is less informative.
