I have checked the system for leaks with soapy water.

There is a better way... find a old stethoscope and attach a flexible tube to it...you'd be amazed at how quickly it can pinpoint a leak, and no mess! My other airplane has pneumatics instead of hydraulics, so we're pretty well versed on chasing down air leaks....
