Peter,
Thanks for the question. I have been thinking about doing the same thing. I keep going back and forth because there is simply nothing safer than flying behind 2 magnetos.
I put in iridium plugs and gapped them (with an ACS fine wire feeler gauge) at about .024". This is up from the recommended 016". The engine fires on the first blade and seems to run smoother. Of course, I also have a 12 lb silicone balancing weight on the front of the engine. By the way, Light Speed Engineering(LSE) does not recommend using aircraft iridium plugs.
From my research, LSE seems to be the best product, if you are going to do the switch.
Please keep us informed.
Sincerely, Lorn

Hi, I have an O360 F1A6 and plan to remove one mag with the Light Speed Plasma II Plus ignition. - are there any experiences with this specific system ? - any other recommendations e.g. alternative products, do not do it......
Thanks in advance Peter, (360, 60% ?)
