Mark -
We are also just beginning the wiring process. We plan to route the 4 big fat ones down the right side of the fuselage to 4 5/16" brass studs on the firtewall. The stud goes thru a piece of phenolic on the engine side. This phenolic also contains the engine side ground system (B&C push-on tabs soldered to a brass buss.). We went with 2 positives and two separate grounds in anticipation of either FADEC or PRISM in the future. If you have a single ground strap to the engine and it loosens, you lose your engine with these systems. Also on the right side in the same bundle will be the control wires for the contactors in the back next to the batteries. This included the strobe cable to the tail strobe and the tail light wires.
Mark Mahnke suggested running power-related wiring down the right side and trim, signal wiring & antennae down the left side.
Look at Phil Hildebrand's web site. he has some good pictures of his wiring.
Looking forward to hearing what the rest of the gang has to say.
John
Can someone explain how they routed their wires from the front of the fuse to the rear? Does Lancair provide any guidance as far as routing paths, and
do's/don'ts? Is it ok to drill holes through bulkheads? If so, where...
where not?
