Hello Everyone,
I just got off the
phone with George and we are overwhelmed by the interest in this little topic.
From a logistical standpoint, it will be necessary to limit attendance to 35
people. Therefore, the first 35 people that mail me a check for $15, payable to
George Braly, will secure a spot at this seminar. After September 18, the check
becomes non-refundable if you are unable to attend. I will keep a waiting list,
however, and last minute cancellations will have their position transferred to
the first person on the waiting list. If the waitlisted person pays their $15,
then I will return the check or refund the money to you after the seminar. I
will email you a receipt when I receive your check. The date and time are:
Saturday, October 2nd
from 10:00-4:00
Unlike the Advanced
Pilot Seminars that George and his crew put on with 60 people in attendance in
a conference room, this will be more of a hands-on event out in the hangar.
George is planning on presenting a brief PowerPoint and possibly an in-flight video
from under the cowl of a tufted engine installation. Due to time limitations,
there will not be a presentation about the GAMI PRISM system. Rather than
trying to fit 35 people around the cowl of an airplane or two, George is hoping
to project a live video feed so that all can see the important details.
There is room on
the ramp for about 15 aircraft. Late arrivals may have to park in the grass, so
be prepared and bring your own portable tie down kits. There is extremely
limited hangar space (2-3 aircraft) at one of the FBOs on the field. Those of
you that requested hangar space may want to make your own arrangements. George
will provide me with the name of the FBO and I will relay that info to the
pilots requesting hangar space.
Although weather is
always a concern, this time of year is generally pretty nice in Indian Territory. Nonetheless, if a terrible storm system
moves through the area, George will email all of the attendees by 1:00 pm on October
1st to inform them of the cancellation. The VOR/DME & GPS
approaches to RWY 17 will take you down to 400’-1 if there are low clouds
or overcast.
Here are some

I hope I have
covered most of the important information. Feel free to contact me if you have
any questions. I am compiling a list of people who need rides and who can give
rides. If you fall into either of these categories, please drop me a note and I
will try to match you up. In addition, we need a few volunteers to take notes.
I will talk to George about getting copies of his PowerPoint and other
materials and see what we can pull together.
