fits into the receptacle. I can move the bottom of the gear both in and out
and back and forth approx.1/4 "I have no problems at the axel or axle mount.
The tires are wearing on the inside as yours. Both gear are same. I have 140
landings at this date.
I was wondering if spot welding with a mig welder would do the trick? Seeing
as how the legs are harden steel I am not real sure of the affect. What say
you? or any one for that matter.

One thing that works on Cessna gear legs is to work shim stock in the gap.
I've not done it myself, though, so I can't offer any helpful hints.  I
don't think I would touch a welder to the gear leg as it is a highly
stressed, heat treated element.
