However, if others in this forum can organize a formation flying clinic sooner, count us in!!

Grease, et. al.,
There certainly is enough interest floating about at this point to go ahead a put an event on the calendar. I will organize an event in the deserts of the west for March 2005.
Here is what I need right now:
1) Names, locations, experience levels (ratings, previous formation time, etc.) of pilots interested in training 2) Names, locations, experience, credentials of pilots interested in instructing. 3) Bad weekends during March
From this I can pick a weekend (Friday morning ground school) and location that will get us the best turnout.
Don Barnes has already agreed to run a web site for the clinic. I will need to do some checking with the EAA regarding event insurance, etc. There will be a registration fee to cover costs such as supplies, lunches, drinks, and perhaps a BBQ, but it will be minimal and a full accounting will be available, if desired.
Also, if anyone has any contact info with people associated with the FFI group, please pass it on to me.
Again, to cut down on list traffic and to make sure I don't miss your attempts to contact me, PLEASE contact me directly at sportform@cox.net.
I am admittedly new to this list and have met few of you in person. I know this will create some trepidation for some... If it eases your concern at all, here is one of the three other events I run - www.allredstar.com. It has not been updated yet from our 2004 event, but gives you an idea. 2005 will also include a public airshow on Saturday and I hope to see a lot of my new found Lancair buddies there too! :)
Cheers,
Barry
