Lancair's sells their Walter 601EX as a 601E from the "Walter factory" as Factory new and Certified. That fact of the matter is that this engine is an "experimental" engine that has been changed from the original 601E. No mention of this fact has ever been portrayed from Lancair. I would suggest full disclosure on Lancair's part to it's customers is a better and less legally contigous route to follow. I would ask what kind of testing data is available from Walter on the 601EX in regards to reliability and TBO? I would also suggest that an email forum is not a place to be hashing out differences between individuals and companies.
