You have given out uninformed information to people at the Lancair fly-in about what happened to Shannon. This is irresponsible and dangerous. You told a friend of mine that the piston failed because of the supercharger installation with 8:5 to 1 pistons. It is clear to me that you have no knowledge what so ever about how internal combustion engines work. I'll give you a short lesson in hopes that you will stop trying to put my supercharger company out of business. Any aircraft engine requires air, fuel, proper timing and spark to make power. The supercharger only makes air not any of the other elements required to make that power. It is as simple as that. Compression ratio and air will not break an engine. You are blaming my company for Shannon's engine failure. I guess you are smarter than the FAA and the NTSB. NOT!!!! Joe, I have not said 10 words to you in my life so how can you have such a vendetta against me? I guess that the Epic has you very worried. If you are going to put out bad information be prepared to defend your statements in any forum. I ask you to stop this misinformation and let the FAA and NTSB do their job. BTW I saw you replace your complete engine the other day. Did it fail because of my supercharger? It seems that anything that goes wrong at Lancair is my fault. GA is a small industry. I'm here to stay and will never say a bad word about Lancair I just wish you would give me the same courtesy. Rick Schrameck Legacy supporter and CEO of Aero Supercharger
