A friend in my EAA Chapter has a LNC2 (360) with Vortex Generators on
the wing.  He flies out of a 2500' elev., relatively short strip that
requires downwind landings most of the time. He has a 10 knot lower stall (and approach speed) "crisp ailerons and
roll control near the stall".  "No noticeable reduction in cruise speed,
160 knots indicated at 12-13k, 195-200 knots ground speed."  "Can't use
full flaps (not enough pitch trim), but 15 -20 degrees is fine for a
stable approach with good elevator authority." He bought them from Pacific NW Aero in Bend, OR

Michael, why would you want to destroy the laminar flow the wing was
designed for?

I own a small tail 360 and I noticed on barnstormers a
company is finally selling VG's very reasonable. I called and he suggested placement on the bottom of the horizontal stab and on the wings (two
kits) . Anyone out there have any real numbers or experience with these things? This guy has not sold to a Lancair owner yet and couldn't give me a referral. Thanks.
