George,
I have to agree with Andres on this one. Hot day climbs-- (just was with Andres the Tuesday) are temp limited. I am sure you could make improvements to the baffling to improve this situation but when you are climbing out in 100-105 degree F ambient conditions there is not much anyone can do. I have never got 2000'/ min in a sustained climb in this of this aircraft under any condition regardless of engine cooling and that is at 2700 RPM 38.5" hg MAP (WOT) and 3100# GWT. The only way you can do this IMHO is to hang a turbine on it. Not enough excess power with the TSIO 550 and a 3400# LIVP. THe LIVPT can esily do it. Bruce Bohannon does not have to worry about the LIVP catching any of his records.

Jeff Ewards
