At Sun-n-Fun this year, Dynon (spelling?) advertised a heated pitot for
around 200 if I remember correctly.

will bear. There are several experimental manufacturers coming out with
non certified versions in the $100-$200 price range. Blue Mountain
Avionics is one, IIRC.
