I read on a Lancair ES placard at Oshkosh that their ES could cruise at 295 MPH at 25,000 feet with IO550N.  I checked with Continental guys at Osh and they said that an IO550 won't even run at that altitude without help from a turbo charger or supercharger.  So, does anyone out there know  about an ES cruising at 295 at 25,000 ft with an IOFF0N?

Also, on the website, the ES stall speed is listed as 65 mph.  But, in KITPLANES Aircraft Directory the factory lists the stall speed as 57.  Is that 57 mph or 57 k? (Seems a little misleading in KITPLANES)

And, again, they list in KITPLANES Aircraft Directory that the Take Off Distance for an ES is 600 ft.   is that 600 ft. number at gross?
