My system, a K&N filters all incoming air, a la Mooney, and an alterate air door from a PA-28 (150 Hp, similair Engine as mine) with manual operation also. I use only paved runways, but get a bunch of DIRT from the K&N each annual. ONce you get carb ice, it could be a bear to get ride of it, especially if your filter is wet.
