For Sun'n'fun I went into Plant city in the old days (Before Lancair).  I tied down at LAL twice, once parked at the Lancair tent (99) and then raced there in 02. Other times to any other airport so I don't have to tie down at LAL.  Remember, you cannot go to the flight line, where your plane is parked, during the airshow - i.e. all afternoon.
