Amen to auto fill system. My header is kept
full with two float switches one to turn off the system the other to turn it on
when the top five gallons (30) minutes of fuel is exhausted. This leaves
about 5.7 gallons left in the header (about 35 minutes of reserve fuel).
of the 52 gallons only one gallon is unuseable out of all five tanks. The
system is 3/8 in fuel lines with three facet pumps low selector switch and I can
pump from any wing tank from multiple pumps. Too complicated to discuss
here but it has redundancy and about a 4 lb penalty.
