Massachusetts is more liberal than California and this applies in spades to taxes. But when is comes to aviation, MA is the clear winner. Two years ago, in a single and solitary instance of enlightened taxation, MA passed legislation which exempts the purchase of all aircraft as well as related parts, maintenance, etc. from taxation! Zero, zip, nada...and my projected nightmare sales tax bill plus penalties went away with the stroke of a pen, thus allowing me to add even more goodies to this work in progress.
