I suppose you are all going to say that you deserve to pay the taxes too.

 

Try IL - Immediately get an FAA Reg. Number., pay the taxes on the kit $ and ignore the other "foreign" items that go into making it airworthy.  Of course, some states don't care, but maybe everyone doesn't want to move to NE.

 

Let's see, CA requires helmets for motorcycle operators also - maybe pilots are next....
