I was initially told by someone at the Calif. Board of Equalization the same
thing Larry Graves heard, namely that the tax wasn't due until the plane
flys.  I'm here to tell you first hand that THIS IS BAD GOUGE!!!  In
California, you have one year FROM THE KIT'S PURCHASE DATE to pay the use
tax.  Take longer than that and you owe interest and penalty.  I have a
letter from the state and a canceled check to prove it.
