Hi Guys,

I just recently installed WxWorx in my T210 using an HP iPAQ 5555. I built a
small mount off of the center console and Velcroed everything in place (FAA
says it has to be a temporary installation for non-TSO'd equipment). I
haven't had a lot of experience with the weather features yet, but the set
up and use is pretty easy the second time through. Everything runs off of
ships power (28V) using the AirGator wiring harness and NavAirWx software.
All the software and weather images fit in about 40MB. I use a Bluetooth GPS
with the system. Daylight works pretty well, although there is some glare
off of the screen with the screen protector on. I haven't tried it without
the protector or at night yet.

I also use the same iPAQ with PC Avionics MountainScope terrain software.
All of the software and US Hi-Res terrain data will fit on a single 512MB
SDIO card. The SDIO card slows the refresh down a bit, but it does not seem
too bad. I, too, am limited by the inability of the two software packages to
share the GPS data stream. Maybe the solution is a second Bluetooth GPS? I
have been very pleased with the terrain data and would not consider IFR over
the mountains without moving map, hi-res terrain data, showing me where the
peaks and valleys are hiding.

Best Regards,
Mike
