I know this subject has been picked over many times before but for an
OI360B1F installation, is there any consensus on the single best
location for the oil cooler?

You've seen mine Angier. It's mounted on the left side of the firewall with
a plenum that attaches to the NACA scoop on the cowling with a short piece
of 3 inch scat. The only problem I've had with it is oil temps too LOW. I'm
actually working on a butterfly valve to restrict the airflow in cool
weather. Pictures available, let me know.
