I have the RMI Encoder with the temp sensor located in the NACA scoop on the
left side of the fuselage forward of the door.  I consistently get OAT
readings that are 10 to 15 deg F high.
Does anyone else have this problem?  Is there a simple fix or do I need to
move the sensor?
Any help would be appreciated.

[This issue has been addressed in the past, and the typical solution was to move the probe(s) to an area in which there is no air pressure change involved.  I seem to remember that the best results frequently came from putting them in the gear wells.  On Ted Noel's IVP we have located both OAT probes in the main gear box, one in front of each gear leg.  Ted's airplane hasn't flown yet, so I can't say whether it was the right decision in practice... but theoretically and based on other folks' experiences we're hopeful and expecting no problems.  HTH.
