I admire your optimism in believing that the Lancair supplied parts fit correctly.   I just finished installing the retractable step and the guide tube.  I believe I was on my third iteration of guide tube before I finally made one that fit.  Do your self a favor and order some 1/4 X .037 wall stainless tubing and make your own.  I had no luck  getting the factory part to fit and it was easier to use a coat hangar for a template and fab a new tube.
