At lower ambient temps my oil temp moves smartly to 180F during or soon
after take-off and stays there for the duration of the flight.  My temp
sensor is in the factory recommended location on the back of the
accessory case.  My 7-vane cooler is mounted under the front baffle in
front of cyl. #2, with a small sheet-metal "scoop" positioned above to
deflect some airflow downward.
