Martin Hollman did some studies to this effect [ or at least has the
results] if you can lock down a copy of his aircraft design book volume 1
there is a chart in there showing the skin temps of different colors. I
can't remember the results but I do know that darker colors [ reds blues
greens] were alot hotter than I thought they'd be!
