I sprayed mine with PPG Durathane using an airbrush. It worked just fine,
even though I had to just "point and shoot" to get back into the deep
recesses. The paint flowed out perfectly, and I now have white wheel wells
which are resistant to hydraulic fluid and are smooth enough to be wiped
off with a rag.
